Helical wound resistors are designed for low to medium current ratings. Its unique design allows it to operate at very high temperature without detrimental effect.

The design incorporate coiled wire helically wound on grooved insulator, thus providing expansion / contraction under various loading conditions whilst ensuring the coiled material remains within its original format.

This design is ideal for short term ratings such as Dynamic Braking and Motor Starting. It can also be used as heaters at elevated temperature.

There are 20 different current / resistance values to choose from. They can be supplied unmounted, with mounting feet or fitted in our standard enclosures.
